LOVE the ideas. I was inspired t make May Day gifts for my kids’ teachers, and they turned out lovely. Small yellow and red ceramic flower pots with the old wrapped-pens-and-flowers, using bright and large daisy shaped flowers in pink, yellow and red. Two each of each colored flower, and the pens are 2 each black, red and blue. We hand wrote the teachers’ names under which each wrote “from xxx” and on the back we wrote “May Day 2009.”

They made the cutest tags to attcach, with a lovely poem about spring, and nestled in the flowers were handmade cards — using daisies as the front graphic.

    PS

My daughter is now in 6th grade, and she now has 9 teachers (eek!), but you would be surprised how delighted these teachers are when someone brings them a gift.

We plan to use your ideas for small, daily treats all next week. Like “you are o-FISH-ally a great teacher!” etc.

Those smaller projects are much more do-able for so many teachers.

I love all of your ideas and since my brain has been frozen lately it was very helpful. I have used many of your ideas so I’m sending you a great big thank you!

I will be posting all of my TAW items on my blog soon and will of course be sending the credit your way since I was only able to come with ONE original idea this year. I guess I’ve exhausted all TAW creativity after doing this for 11 years!

Thank you for these great ideas!! I made the coffee sleeves this year and had them embroidered with our school name and year. I “stole” your idea of a coffee cup/gift card in a cellophane bag with the “Thanks a Latte” message. So far, the PTO thinks I’m “the bomb” – my husband calls me “Martha on steroids” since I’m sewing up 93 of these this week! LOL!! You’re ideas are awesome and I tell anyone who will listen to me about your blog! Now I have ideas for next year! Thank you so much!! :)

  14. Holy crap! You have just about the cutest website that I have seen in a long time. Not sure how I missed you before but I am over from MomDot. I love your place and I will definitely be back after I make about ten of those teacher things because I cannot decide on just one. Including the one that the first commenter added.

    ADORABLE! Thanks.
