How to make custom party favor shoes

Today you can skip on over to see a new paper party favor shoe at The Daily Digi. Now you can use any digital papers you want, swap them out with a few clicks and then print! I am excited to learn more about digital scrapbooking. As you can see there are many uses for these digital techniques. Stephanie has agreed to help me learn and I will be sharing those tutorials with you. So please look forward to some fun templates in the next few months. I am thinking we will be able to create some fun party favors, party supplies and of course do a little scrapbooking.

Fun ways to wrap packages

Last year I spent the month of September looking ahead to the holidays and trying to get prepared. Here are some links from the archives that are good anytime of the year.

I love boxes and fun ways to wrap gifts. This year I am going to make more of an effort to use recycled items. I think my pillow box template would be cute made from colorful cereal boxes. These boxes are great when you are in a pinch and need something quick. You can always print the template out on printed card-stock.

Printable Lollipop Butterflies and Flowers for Spring

Paper Witch Shoes

I think this is quite possibly the cutest party favor box!

These paper shoes designed by designer Ellen Hutson are simple to make and so cute. I made witch shoes because I was having a lunch to celebrate three friends birthdays the week of Halloween.

I think they would be fun with pretty paper for a little girls princess party, a bridesmaid luncheon or girls lunch. I can even see them done in red glitter for a Wizard of Oz party.

I filled the shoes with chocoIate and set them on the center of the plate. It made the table look really festive.

To make your own paper shoes download the templates. Trace around the templates onto cardstock for the shoe and onto paper for the lining. Score all dotted lines with a bone folder. I used glue stick to put the shoe together. Miniature clothes pins worked wonderfully to hold the shoes together while drying. Embellish the shoes to fit your party theme.
