My daughter has a December birthday and there have been several years that we decorate gingerbread houses. I assemble the houses ahead of time (very important so they stay together) and the kids decorate during the party. It is an excellent activity and makes for a festive holiday party. The kids take them home as a party favor. We keep those who finish early busy with these gingerbread coloring pages.
