Hair Towel Step By Step Instructions

Printable Towel Wrap for Hair Instructions
Fold the bath towel in half right sides together lengthways. Measure 36″ across the bottom of the towel (opposite) from the fold.
Cut out your shape.
On the long end (where the back of the head goes) place a 6-inch piece of elastic folded in half about 3 inches up from the bottom.
Stitch around the towel 1/2 inch from the edge leaving the bottom open. Zig zag stitch or overcast your seams to prevent unraveling.
Turn the sewn fabric right side out and viola you have a finished towel wrap.
My sweet friend Jenni will model how this works. After your shower or bath you lean over and place your wet hair in the towel.
Then starting at your forehead you twist to the end–catching all of your hair inside.
Take the end and pull it over your head and fasten in the back in the elastic loop! How cool is that?
I found the idea for this great project at Perfect Little Stitches. I though adjusted the measurements for my version for a slightly different fit.

I just made this for my sisters birthday! Your tutorials are super easy to follow and the finished product was awesome! THANKS!
My hubby is the sewing machine operator in our house and I sent him the link… he made me one today and I love it. Thank you so much for posting… With long hair, I’ve always wanted one of these, now I have one.
Very cool!
I’ve actually bought these – who would have known they could be so easy to make ……… duh moment here.
Thanks for the easy instructions. I WILL be making some for home (so I can actually keep MINE) and one for my suitcase – that way I will ALWAYS have one when I travel.
LOVED this. Along with a spa-type towel wrap, I made this as a set for my 11 yr old daughter for Xmas. She has long hair and used to really struggle with wrapping towels — either she didn’t wrap it tight enough, or SO MUCH towel weighed heavily on her little neck. As I made hers, I quickly made another for my sister; they were both delighted! I sew something maybe once a year, so my skill level is probably a 2 on a scale from 1 to 10. It still turned out great. Thanks!
oh…this such a cool idea! i am going to have to try this and i know of a friend or 2 that would love one also. thank you!
I have wanted to make one of these forever! Thanks for the directions!
How fun, that just might work great with my long hair.
what a fantastic idea!!
as always thanks for sharing and inspiring!!

Looks so easy to make, I’ve bought these & love them. My kids are always begging me to use them, I should try this. I’m not much of a sewer, but it doesn’t look like it would matter for this project.
Thank you for this! This is just the thing I could use for my daughter’s long hair! 🙂 No matter how much I rub with the towel it’s dripping everywhere..
