Summer is the perfect time for a nice bowl of ice cream, and my family loves it when I add a sauce.
Sure, a yummy chocolate sauce is delicious, but from time to time, I like to mix it up a bit. So today for you I have a beautiful Southern Praline Sauce. Packed with pecans, it’s a firm favorite in my house.
This pecan praline sauce is super easy to make too, so you don’t have to spend hours and hours in the kitchen preparing it. In fact, you can knock it together in a few minutes, even after a meal, just before you serve dessert.
Each spoonful, filled with pecan nuts and packed full of flavors, tastes delicious and can be served over bread pudding, cheesecake, waffles, or pancakes, adding the perfect crunchy texture. When it comes to dessert sauces, it’s a winner, for sure!
As far as gifts go, it’s something a little different that you can give to your friends and family, presented in a mason jar with a suitable gift tag.

You can make this on the stovetop, but for me, it’s far easier and quicker to use the microwave.
Step 1: Place the pecan nuts and butter in a bowl and microwave until the butter is melted. Stir through to ensure the pecans are covered by the butter mixture. If you are using a stove, melt the butter on low heat and add the pecans. Stir through.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, add butter and microwave. Now add brown sugar, flour and corn syrup and mix thoroughly.

Step 3: Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, place them back in the microwave for a minute, and then stir them through again to form a caramel sauce with the perfect depth of flavor.

Step 4: Now add the pecans to the caramel sauce. Pour in some evaporated milk and stir until everything is thoroughly mixed.
