Southern Praline Sauce

Equipment

  • Microwave, saucepan, or pot
  • Bowls
  • Stirring spoon

Ingredients

  • 7 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cup Pecans
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • ¾ Corn syrup
  • 1 ½ Dark brown sugar (you can use light brown sugar too)
  • Evaporated milk

Instructions

  • Place the pecan nuts and butter in a bowl and microwave until the butter is melted. Stir through to ensure the pecans are covered by the butter mixture. If you are using a stove, melt the butter on low heat and add the pecans. Stir through.
  • In a separate bowl, add butter and microwave. Now add brown sugar, flour and corn syrup and mix thoroughly. flour,
  • Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, place them back in the microwave for a minute, and then stir them through again to form a caramel sauce with the perfect depth of flavor.
  • Now add the pecans to the caramel sauce. Pour in some evaporated milk and stir until everything is thoroughly mixed.
