Free Printable Valentine's Day School Lunch Box Jokes by Chickabug

Posted by  ·  February 13, 2013  ·  Last Updated: April 30, 2016

Hi there! I’m Heather from Chickabug, and I’m thrilled that Cindy has asked me to participate in this year’s Valentine’s Day printables series on Skip to My Lou! If you don’t know me yet, here’s the scoop: I design and sell personalized paper goods and DIY party printables in the Chickabug shop, and I write about all sorts of fun party, craft, and food-related things on my blog. And, I love to design and give away free printables!

Earlier this year I designed some free printable Valentine’s Day school lunch notes that everyone’s really liked so far. So when Cindy asked me if I’d like to share a free printable with her loyal Skip to My Lou readers, I thought, what goes well with lunch notes? Well… how about some fun and silly Valentine’s Day school lunch jokes?

These are so super-quick, easy, and fun! And I’ve come up with a couple of different options for how you can use them!

For a sweet little treat, you can wrap them around Hershey miniatures – just a little double-sided tape is all you need.

Or, this could not be simpler: just fold the joke slip over to hide the answer. To guard against early peeking, use a tiny dot of tape. Done.

Here’s my personal favorite way to present a school lunch joke: between Oreos! (Oreos are always the answer, aren’t they?!) Of course I had to get the berry burst Oreos with pink filling, for Valentine’s Day. I used a little pink twine from The Twinery to hold everything together.

There are 6 jokes included in the printable, so you can spread them out for over a week’s worth of fun, or your little one can share them with his or her friends on Valentine’s Day!

Click here to download the free printable Valentine’s Day school lunch jokes! As you’ll see, the file includes a sheet of 6 pre-printed jokes, plus a sheet of blank joke strips so that you can write in your own jokes or special messages, too. I hope you have as much fun using these as I had making them! Thank you again to Cindy for having me! : )

Very cute idea! I love to send notes in my son's lunch box. He is 8, so I don't think he's all that into it, but it is still a nice gesture once in a while.
