How To Make a Mini Bean Crochet Stitch: Step-By-Step

Materials Needed:

-Crochet hook (Here’s a guide to pick the right size mm crochet hook here)

-Yarn (choose your favorite color and worsted weight yarn based on what you want to create)

-Scissors to snip your yarn when finished

-Darning needle to finish off your ends

Steps:

Step 1: Foundation Chain

The mini bean stitch crochet stitch will work with multiples of 2 (odd number of chains) until you get the desired width with the plus 1 used for turning. Twenty-one stitches sound great to use for this sample. To begin, insert your hook into a slip stitch(sl st) to crochet a starting chain. Begin your mb st by inserting your hook into the 3rd chain from the hook(including the loop on the hook). The mini bean(will further be labeled as mb) stitch will now be placed in every other stitch(st). Now you’ll yarn over(YO) and pull through. Next, YO and insert your hook into the same stitch and pull through to YO again. Pull through all 4 loops on your hook and ch 1 to secure your stitch. Skip the next chain, insert hook into the following ch and place a mb here. Continue this all across until you reach the end of the row with your last stitch.
