Never have I made a Dump Cake, but it will be next on my list. Sounds delicious.
I love to bake but my husband would eat ALL the cookies in a single single (only a slight exaggeration) so I started making cookies from cake mix. It made 4-5 dozen cookies for pennies. Unfortunately, I read the cake mix ingredients one day and never looked back. In my family, white flour was considered a treat, not a food. Because it isn’t a food. It’s pure starch. Like, eat a can of cornstarch starch. There’s no food value there. So we reserved our right to stuff our guts with white flour for treats: cookies, cakes, pies. But I finally drew the line at cake mix. It’s so YUMMY! Why is it so full of words that if searched for on the FDA’s website will make you shudder in terror? Oh well. Buyer beware, I guess.
