Candied Pecan INGREDIENTS

You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon cold water 
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lb. large pecan halves
  • ½ c. white sugar
  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2  teaspoon salt or 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  1. Beat egg white and water until frothy.  Add vanilla.beaten egg whites with vanilla in bowl
  2. Mix well with pecans.pecans in bowl coated with egg white
  3. In a separate bowl, combine sugars, cinnamon, and salt.brown sugar salt and sugar mixture
  4. Pour sugar mixture over pecans.brown sugar mixture on pecans
  5. Stir well.stir pecans
  6. Spread on a prepared baking sheet. Cooking spray will work but I have decidided a baking sheet with parchment paper is the best for these candied nuts.candied pecans on baking sheet
  7. Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour.  Stirring about every 15 minutesbaked candied pecans

Cook Time 1 hour

Ingredients  

  • 1 teaspoon cold water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lb. large pecan halves
  • ½ c. white sugar
  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or 1 teaspoon kosher salt
