Printable Bingo Cards

Bingo can be traced back to 1530, to an Italian lottery called “Lo Giuoco del Lotto D’Italia,” which is still played every Saturday in Italy. From Italy, the game was introduced to France in the late 1770s, where it was called “Le Lotto”, a game played among wealthy Frenchmen.

There are so many variations on bingo, especially now with online game sites and apps for your phone! But they all boil down to the same concept of numbered balls and marking off spots on a card to make a line.

Bingo games differ in the number of balls used.

• 30 Ball Bingo (also called speed bingo) is a fast version that used the least number of balls.
• 75 Ball Bingo is the most popular version, and it’s what most people play in the United States.
• A lot of online games use 80 Ball Bingo, which is laid out the same but uses more numbers
• 90 Ball Bingo is a version popular in Australia and the UK.

How do you play bingo online?

Online bingo is basically the same as the classic game, except that no one is at the front of a room spinning balls and calling out numbers.

The numbers are just computer-generated in online bingo. You fill out your cards, compete with other online players for prizes sometimes, and you can chat with others as you play. This can be a fun experience.

Dozens of sites offer places to play, mostly for free with registration. All you need to get started is a good internet connection! Some sites do offer real money gambling, and others are just for fun. You might double-check for bingo free games before signing up for anything and making app purchases.

I have not tried all the games out there by any means. There are tons of options!
