Each year Michaels asks us to decorate some beautiful Christmas trees for their Dream Tree Challenge. This year I decided to go go with a snow and glittered theme.
I wanted the tree to have at least one unusual element so I placed a marquee sign right on the tree. This silver glittered sign is battery operated so it worked perfect! It does look a bit blue in the picture but in real life it is all sliver and makes quite a statement on the tree.
If you are looking for Christmas tree decorating ideas here are my past trees. The first year I made paper medallions and hanging ornaments from wrapping paper. The bright colors gave the tree a whimsical look. Click on the photo for tutorials for all of the ornaments.
One year I enlisted the help of some amazing crocheters that live all over the world to help decorate my crochet Christmas tree. It was so much fun to receive so many darling handmade ornaments! This tree was truly spectacular! We were able to donate it to a local charity and raised over $1,000.
Last year I painted the tree gold so it would truly set off our collection of hand blown glass Christmas ornaments. It was stunning.
