Crock Pot Chex Mix is a super quick and easy snack and it is always a crowd pleaser. The taste of butter and seasoned chex cereal is a traditional holiday snack and a game day must have! I am always looking for recipes for snacks that are simple to throw together!

Crock Pot Chex Mix recipe

3 Cups Rice Chex
3 Cups Corn Chex
3 Cups Wheat Chex
3 Cups Quaker Crunchy Corn Bran Cereal (l love this cereal)
2 Cups pretzels
2 Cups mixed nuts
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

Place stick of butter in crock pot and melt.  Stir in spices. Add in cereal, pretzels and stir to evenly coat.  Any cereal your family likes can be used!  To prevent burning, cook on low for 1 hour and 30 minutes, stirring often. Spread out a  couple of sheets of parchment paper and pour warm snack mix onto paper to allow to cool to room temperature.  Enjoy!

You can have fun with this slow cooker chex mix recipe and try additional ingredients. We’ve tried oyster crackers, bagel chips, and even cheeze it’s for a little variety.

  1. It was ok but I think I’ll go back to the “old fashion” way. I forgot to put the Worcestershire sauce (which I assume was part of the “spices”) and the mixed nuts in until about half way through. Oh well!

  3. I used to make this in the oven until I found this recipe a few years ago. So much easier this way and now I am asked to bring it every year to Christmas Eve and New Years Eve!!!
