Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Recipe

Posted by  ·  May 23, 2014  ·  Last Updated: May 21, 2016

This slow cooker buffalo chicken makes perfect buffalo chicken sandwiches and wraps.  It is such an easy crock pot recipe. Just throw the chicken in the crock-pot with buffalo sauce and chicken broth and when you get home you will have a delicious dinner.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Recipe

2-3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teapsoon pepper
1 – 12 ounce bottle buffalo wing sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth

Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken, buffalo wing sauce and chicken broth to the slow cooker. Cook on low for at least three hours or until chicken is done. I have started this in the morning and let it cook all day.

Serve meat on buns with a side of veggies.  The chicken is great with homemade ranch dressing.

Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps

If you don’t want bread, this buffalo chicken is great served in lettuce leaves topped with homemade ranch.

Could chicken breasts be used instead of chicken thighs?

Where do I find buffalo sauce. I see Frank's RedHot sauce but the whole bottle? Is your buffalo sauce "cayenne pepper" sauce or something else?

I may try this in a buffalo chicken salad - add some crumbled blue cheese or use blue cheese dressing, chopped celery and carrots, mixed greens, etc.

    Thanks for the recipe!
