We recently moved our laundry room into what used to be a very tiny bathroom. My husband installed a large pocket door to maximize the small space. The room needed a quick re-do to make the space work. A trip to Lowe’s quickly turned this small space laundry room into a useful and organized work space!
Small Space Laundry Room Ideas
To give our laundry room a fresh look we first installed a laminate counter on top of the washer and dryer to make a nice work surface. We used a counter top with a back splash to keep socks and small clothing items from falling behind the washer.
Lowe’s had plenty of closet storage ideas that we could borrow for our laundry room. We installed Rubbermaid Shelving to make the best use of the space . For years we have sorted our clothes into dish tubs. Now the tubs have the perfect home. Our clothes from the laundry shoot fall right into a large laundry basket sitting on the counter. Wet clothes can be hung over the large wash sink.
Everything now has a home and our laundry room looks organized, clean and fresh!

An updated laundry room would be wonderful. It is located in our basement in a side room in which you have to walk under asbestos covered pipes. There are cobwebs & spiders that are as old as our house (which was built in 1880)and dust/debris from our wood pile. The shelving in that room is unstable; it is cold; and we have occasional mice during the winter. Ohh and I have to use a wrench to turn the dryer knob since it broke years ago… Interested???

My laundry room needs a makeover, too! It needs a fresh coat of paint, a solution to the messy open shelving over the washer and dryer, and a prettier way to hide our catboxes. This would help!!

The room that needs a makeover in my house is my bedroom!
Our Kitchen needs serious help. . .the floor covering is worn through in many areas actually exposing the wood under it. It is a rather small area and desperately needs to be re-worked to make better use of the small space. But I can live with the small space and cabinets as they are, but our floor is atrocious and I am embarrassed to have anyone come in our home. Any assistance in getting this accomplished would be wonderful.
