We recently moved our laundry room into what used to be a very tiny bathroom. My husband installed a large pocket door to maximize the small space. The room needed a quick re-do to make the space work. A trip to Lowe’s quickly turned this small space laundry room into a useful and organized work space!
Small Space Laundry Room Ideas
To give our laundry room a fresh look we first installed a laminate counter on top of the washer and dryer to make a nice work surface. We used a counter top with a back splash to keep socks and small clothing items from falling behind the washer.
Lowe’s had plenty of closet storage ideas that we could borrow for our laundry room. We installed Rubbermaid Shelving to make the best use of the space . For years we have sorted our clothes into dish tubs. Now the tubs have the perfect home. Our clothes from the laundry shoot fall right into a large laundry basket sitting on the counter. Wet clothes can be hung over the large wash sink.
Everything now has a home and our laundry room looks organized, clean and fresh!

My bottom kitchen cabinets aren’t accessible to my husband who is disabled. I would like to put in some of the pull-out inserts to make it easier for him. A backsplash would be nice too, but that’s a wish, not a need!
Love how functional the laundry room is! While I think my whole house needs a great big makeover, I’m going to pick my girls’ room!
I love the baskets with names on it! We just bought our first home and let me tell ya, it needs TLC! I’d use the gift card in our loft or dining room- both have NO fixtures or curtains, etc. In need of help for sure ๐

Since owning my first house it seems every dream I had to update has been put aside for something more important. If I had to choose just one it would be the flooring in the dining room that is carpeted and kitchen with dogs it needs to be changed to wood flooring soon.
I would add more plants to the yard!
Love to redo my basement laundry room. Get more organized and light so that I could also use as my sewing/ craft space. We have nice washing machine and dryer only utility sink is old and and old style heavy stone like to resurface it
Storage shelving units, paint, new floor, cover up all furnace and pipes
Maybe I will like folding clothes is not too bad.
My daughter’s playroom needs a major makeover! Mommy is going to have a massive meltdown if the organization fairy doesn’t visit that area, which is soon to be declared a disaster site!!
I could also use a laundry room makeover! Ours is a little closet at the top of the stairs, and some of your ideas would definitely work in there!
