We recently moved our laundry room into what used to be a very tiny bathroom. My husband installed a large pocket door to maximize the small space. The room needed a quick re-do to make the space work. A trip to Lowe’s quickly turned this small space laundry room into a useful and organized work space!
Small Space Laundry Room Ideas
To give our laundry room a fresh look we first installed a laminate counter on top of the washer and dryer to make a nice work surface. We used a counter top with a back splash to keep socks and small clothing items from falling behind the washer.
Lowe’s had plenty of closet storage ideas that we could borrow for our laundry room. We installed Rubbermaid Shelving to make the best use of the space . For years we have sorted our clothes into dish tubs. Now the tubs have the perfect home. Our clothes from the laundry shoot fall right into a large laundry basket sitting on the counter. Wet clothes can be hung over the large wash sink.
Everything now has a home and our laundry room looks organized, clean and fresh!

Oh my gosh…I feel like you took a pic in my laundry room. My set up is just like your, washer, dryer and utility sink and then on the reverse wall is my pantry. Talk about lack of storage, it’s crazy. I love your design and would love to copy it. My valves are even high like yours too, love how you covered them up!!!

It’s a toss up between the patio/yard and laundry room.
First thought was basement and then when I looked a second time at the laundry room..Yes! That would be better my laundry/mud room area needs it bad too!I suppose I have lots that needs a makeover :-/
Wow! My home has lots of needs! I need storage! I want to buy a closet organizer to put my stamps, ink and paper in. It has filled one 10′ closet. I have more! I bought the shelving from Lowes! All the materials for my home, two
porches and gardens came from Lowes! I want to turn a room I’m using for storage into a craft room!
My room of choice would be my craft “closet” . My kids and I enjoy spending time in there but we always have to spend the most time trying to organize things before we can enjoy crafting.

The room needing the most help currently is the master bedroom (&closet). We need to paint both spaces, add some lighting and perhaps a small seating area. We have newish carpet, but I would much rather have some wood + a rug. The blinds, curtains and rods all need to be replaced too. I would actually love to just spray paint the existing rods and add sheers or maybe roman blinds. Or maybe shutters! That would really be great! I guess I’ve spent the gift card+ in mu head already. ๐
