Contestย  closed! Winner was Kim C! Congrats Kim!

We recently moved our laundry room into what used to be a very tiny bathroom. My husband installed a large pocket door to maximize the small space. The room needed a quick re-do to make the space work. A trip to Lowe’s quickly turned this small space laundry room into a useful and organized work space!

Small Space Laundry Room Ideas

To give our laundry room a fresh look we first installed a laminate counter on top of the washer and dryer to make a nice work surface. We used a counter top with a back splash to keep socks and small clothing items from falling behind the washer.

Lowe’s had plenty of closet storage ideas that we could borrow for our laundry room. We installed Rubbermaid Shelving to make the best use of the space . For years we have sorted our clothes into dish tubs. Now the tubs have the perfect home. Our clothes from the laundry shoot fall right into a large laundry basket sitting on the counter. Wet clothes can be hung over the large wash sink.

Everything now has a home and our laundry room looks organized, clean and fresh!

  1. I love what you did with the laundry room! LOVE IT! We have got to do something like that for sure! We really need a laundry room make over…that’s what I would do with the gift card! I love the ideas you have given here!

  2. Our bonus/throw toys on the floor room needs some serious organizing. Help!

  3. My Kitchen needs a face lift for sure. I’m looking at under the cupboard lighting, I would like to get rid of the recessed lighting and have new lighting above the snack bar, 2 or 3 single pendant lights, new counters and a new floor, I would also like to change out the sink, would love to have a ceramic farmhouse sink and a faucet that works well with the design/style of my kitchen.

  4. I would actually work on my front porch and walkway. Our porch is wood decking material and needs paint or stain to freshen it up, the door hardware & porch fixture need updating, and I’d love to paint the stained oak double front doors a barn red color. We have one planter in front of the porch, but I’d like to add another near the mailbox and add some curb appeal with deer resistant plantings. $100 would be just the thing to jump-start that project list! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. OMG! I’m totally jealous of your laundry room. Ours is in need of a MAJOR makeover… the pipes freeze just about every winter and it’s just a plain, icky room.

  6. My laundry room and my sewing room could both use some work. Yours looks great! Thanks for the giveaway! cokelush at gmail

  7. I have completely given up on the closets in our bedroom! There is no hope. I will have to re-create the wheel in there!!

  8. My garage is organizationally challenged and needs a lot of help to get all the related items contained to one area. I really do like the laundry idea too to make the most of a small space!

  9. $100 could help with our stairs makeover. Our boys helped with the tear down when they were throwing a ball in the house and took out a baluster. It was a good excuse to change to wrought iron. Incidentally, the boys will not be throwing a ball in the house anymore!
