Here at Swirly Designs we loooove the holidays. We create handmade polymer clay ornaments. You can learn more about our process here.Ā Weāve been creating ornaments since 2000, starting with just Christmas designs but since have expanded to all the holidays including Valentineās Day! Each ornament is handmade and no two are exactly alike. Theyāre great for gifts, for your holiday tree, to dress up a package or just to hang on your wall!
These days we have been wondering where people go for their holiday inspiration? Where do you go to buy handmade gifts? And now, with the ending of such great publications like Country Home and Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion, we would really love to know which magazines you will turn to now, to get your holiday fix.

Mostly I read blogs. I rarely buy magazines anymore. Sad, I know!
I get my ideas from blogs, too!
When I look for inspiration it is to the internet I go. First blogs and then Google searches. As a mom of two little ones I don’t have much time to sit down and enjoy a whole style magazine anyway.

::sigh:: so sad all of these fabulous mags are disappearing. i have to admit that i’m more of a blog girl. i love getting mail and mags, but it makes me feel a little guilty every time i get one (because i’m forced to watch my carbon footprint grow a little bigger). however, i really love martha and if i can get my hands on a ReadyMade, i’m extra happy.
Family Fun is always a good inspiration!
I confess that I look to blogs first, then go to the magazines. Like many others I lookd to Martha Steart, and I always scour mu back issues of Victoria.

Honestly, I rarely look at magazines. I do occassionally look at things like Southern Living, Family Fun, and Parenting–but more for my class at school than home. Where I go to get ideas for homemade gifts for family is more likely browsing through Etsy.com or checking in with the many blogs I follow–all of us hand crafters–so I know there will be many great ideas there as well. One Pretty Thing is another place I find ideas. I know this isn’t what you wanted, but you asked!
