Teacher Appreciation Gift Cards

I’m not always good at planning ahead when it’s time to give gifts. I want to make a big, impressive, straight-from-the-heart homemade craft project, but usually, run out of time and end up grabbing a gift card the day before. It can’t just be me who has this problem, right?!

These free printable Teacher Appreciation Week cards are for all of us crafty wannabes – the gals who love Pinterest but just can’t seem to make it to Michael’s in time. And, for us gals who have a sassy sense of humor. Now, without further ado… here are my free printable teacher appreciation day cards! I think they will be an appreciated gift that makes your teacher smile.

Printable Thank You Teacher Cards

These printable cards are the perfect thank-you for a teacher!  There are three designs so you can pick your favorite saying, or give them to different teachers. The red and orange one coordinates perfectly with a Target card, and the green and blue one goes great with a Starbucks gift card, but it’s really up to you.

And of course, making these cards is a cinch – just print the design of your choice onto white cardstock, cut the cards out, and adhere the back to the front (to add that extra-snazzy patterned back). Stick on your gift card, sign your name or leave a little handwritten note, and you’re good to go. If you need an envelope, these fit a standard A7 size envelope… or just go without an envelope, I won’t tell!

The text on these cards is so funny, with three narrowly averted craft project disasters – like “I almost gave you a life-size diorama of your classroom made out of crayons” – that will definitely make your teachers laugh. They’ve all been there, either getting overwhelmed with crafts themselves or getting… unique little gifts from their students over the years.

How about “I almost made you quadruple dark chocolate upside down bacon glazed cake pops” to poke fun at those of us who like to try experimental recipes found on Pinterest? They’ll be laughing with relief at the thought! And I’m pretty sure your teacher will appreciate an Amazon gift card even more after reading “I got out the Mod Podge, the Circuit machine, and thirty-two shades of glitter.”

  1. We have 6 teachers we’d like to gift this year! I showed my kids a bunch of teacher gift ideas and they thought your designs were the best and funniest! Thanks very much for sharing these! They’re very excited to present these to their teachers with giftcards to be used this summer!

  2. The link to get to these printables isn’t working. I would love to get a copy. Is there a new location for the file? Thanks!!!

  3. 2 of these cards went to school today for teacher apperication. Love them! Just the right amount of sass and humor but also showing a bit of respect for how difficult their jobs are (pre-k teachers). Thanks so much for sharing them!

  4. These are great! Although I love crafts and would probably be the type to do handmade teacher appreciation gifts, I always think to myself “would the teacher want something like this from all 20 of their students?” and I opt for a gift card.

  5. These are so amazing! Printing them off tonight (tomorrow is the last day of school) BUT i had planned to give these since I found them a couple months ago 🙂 Thank you for a fun way to give teachers something they REALLY want!

  6. So good!!! I wanted to use these for end of year teacher gifts instead so I just copied the content and changed the title to teacher gift instead of teacher appreciation gift. (It should go without saying that I am not planning on publishing my version online or anything – just did it for my personal use).

  7. Love these! I’ve been looking for ideas for something to really show my appreciation without spending 12 hours and $50 on craft supplies on something the teachers would ultimately toss in the trash. This is perfect, and I’m pretty sure the teachers will like it better than a jar full of M&M’s or yet another plant with a card saying “Thanks for helping me GROW”. Thank you thank you thank you!

  8. This is the funniest thing ever!! As a first time teacher, I don’t want to seem ungrateful for what may be going on “in our honor” but really… gift cards are the way to go, people!!! Thanks for keeping it real. I am printing these for my kids’ teachers. You are hilarious! xo

  9. I have a feeling that I will now be known to the teachers as the thoughtful-and-slightly-snarky-mom-who-made-all-the-Pinterest-Moms-cry-because-my-gift-was-way-cooler-and-yet-I-got-some-sleep-last-night kind of girl. Now I’m afraid to pin this, lest another girl steals ‘my’ great gift! 😉 Thank you!

  10. I just HAD to let you know how absolutely great these are!!!! My daughter chose to print the “Crayon Diorama” one because she thought it was hilarious!!! {she’s a 5th grader} Thanks so much for sharing these for FREE!!!!! This will be the perfect ending to the week of Pinterest inspired gifts 🙂

  11. I just printed one up for each of the 5 teachers. You saved me! Thank you so much!
