Looking for a fun way to celebrate the fourth? Glam it up with rhinestones. Silhouette has created a fun way to adhere rhinestones to fabric—amazing!
DIY Rhinestone Studded Flag Shirt
Use the Silhouette CAMEO to create a fun and festive shirt for the Fourth of July. Gather up an old pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and jumbo ric rac ( I got mine from the awesome site Pick Your Plum, you won’t want to miss a single day of these unbelievable daily deals)
Open up your silhouette software. I created these stars for you!
Place the Rhinestone Vinyl green side up onto the cutting mat. Load into the Silhouette. Check your settings and cut! Peel the green vinyl away leaving all the circles behind.
Place the green vinyl onto the backer board. Use the brush in a circular motion to place a rhinestone in each circle. Brush away extra rhinestones.
Once every circle is filled with a rhinestone, place a piece of clear transfer tape over the rhinestone design.
Lift up the clear transfer tape and all the rhinestones will come up onto the transfer tape.
Place the rhinestones onto your fabric. Cover with a thin cloth and iron for about 40 seconds on wool setting. Gently lift up transfer tape. If any rhinestones come up, place transfer tape back down and iron again until all rhinestones are firmly attached to the fabric.
Remove transfer tape. TaDah!
Now sew the little star studded piece of jeans onto a white t-shirt, along with strips of jumbo ric rac.

The giveaway–I’m not sure, but if I had to upload my site for “Make-it Monday” I did that too. Just not a real, real crafty thing…Ooops, I made a dress, but it was a lot easier than most of the crafts I try. Hurray!

I’ve done ALL that I can do to get extra entries in, but this last one and that’s why I would love to start using this great machine. The “glam” rhinestones, just put me over the edge because I love to embellish anything for fun. 1. I would love to embellish a patriotic t-shirt, 2. The pocket of my grand daughters jeans,3. My monogram on the flap of my purse, 4.I have an old fashioned fabric covered calendar and organizer that need rhinestones, 5. Our beautiful mare’s bridle needs some glam and that would be so fun to embellish, 6. Of course, a rhinestone bracelet, 7. A sweet quiet book for Church, for a precious little 7 year-old.
