Hi everyone!
I’m Allison and I blog over at A Glimpse Inside. I am thrilled to be here at Skip to my Lou today!
My oldest is only 2, and JUST turned 2 at that, so she is just now starting to get to the age of doing fun activities and I wanted to gear my summer activity towards those of you with young kiddos like her but kiddos of all ages will enjoy it.
Today, I am sharing a recipe to make your very own 3D Chalk!
It is super fun and so easy to make!
Homemade 3D Chalk--so easy to make!
Here is how you can make some for your kids to enjoy.
Only a few ingredients to make your own 3D Chalk!
Supplies:
 -1/2 cup of Cornstarch
-2 tablespoons of Four
-1/4 cup of water
-Food coloring
-Baggies or bottles
3D Chalk
Begin by placing the 1/2 cup of Cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of flour into a bowl and mix with a fork.

Then place about 6 drops of food coloring into the cornstarch/flour mixture along with the 1/4 cup of water.
Mix well together until a thick paste is formed. If your mixture is very dry, slowly add a little water until the mixture is like thick paste.
3D chalk- so fun!!
Pour your mixtures into a baggie for older kids or squeeze bottles for younger kids.
I cleaned out some old acrylic paint bottle and put the chalk inside. Worked much better for Miss P than teaching her how to hold and squeeze the baggie.
If using the baggie, just cut the tip of one of the corners off to use. You could even place in a frosting bag and use frosting tips for you kids to get real creative with!
This 3D chalk recipe is so cool!
Then head outside and have fun!
3D Chalk
You can make all sorts of fun designs and even layer the colors on top of each other.

Or just let your small kiddos be little Modern Art artists.

You can even let the chalk dry for a few minutes and then pick it up!
It is almost like silly putty so you can make balls with it and combine the colors before it fully dries.
To clean up, just rinse off with water.
And don’t worry if it gets all over your child’s clothes! It just wipes right off and if any color is left behind, it will come out in the wash.
Make some 3D chalk using basic household items. SO FUN!
I hope you make some this summer for your kids to enjoy!
It really is loads of fun!
