Candied Pecans

Candied pecans are the perfect addition to any salad or dessert and make a great gift too.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cold water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lb. large pecan halves
  • ½ c. white sugar
  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Beat egg white and water until frothy. Add vanilla. Mix well with pecans.
  • In a separate bowl, combine sugars, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Pour sugar mixture over pecans and stir well.
  • Spread on baking sheet. Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour. Stirring about every 15 minutes Enjoy!
