Ingredients

  • 1 stick Unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 3/4 cups All purpose flour
  • 2/3 cups Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Step 1: Melt butter and chocolate chips in the microwave in a medium bowl. Stir until you have an even consistency.
  • Add the dry ingredients (sugar, brown sugar, and a little salt). Add the vanilla extract and mix the batter. Add the three large eggs and mix through again until you have a consistent batter.
  • Sift in the all-purpose flower, as well as the unsweetened cocoa powder, and fold through the batter, making sure the flour and cocoa powder are incorporated properly. Now fold in a few more chocolate chips.
  • Line a baking tray or square cake tin with parchment paper, and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Add the cakey brownie mixture and spread evenly.
  • Preheat your oven to medium heat and bake the brownies. You want the top of the brownies to be dry. Let them cool to room temperature and cut them into squares.
