Last month I was able to travel to Iceland as guests ofAnimal Jam and Visit Iceland.YES! ICELAND! It was truly amazing! A must do for anyone’s travel list and I am thrilled to be able to give you the chance to win the trip of a lifetime.
If we as moms embrace adventure we can share that passion for learning and being inspired by our environment with our children. We can teach them through our example to be explorers! If our kids see us take on new experiences and eager to learn new things, they will do the same. Thus, the #AdventureStartsWithMe hashtag. Whether you are planning a trip to the zoo, a hike in the mountains, a family trip overseas, or settling down with a good book, we show our kids how to have an adventurous, curious life by our example.
How about joining our hashtag won’t you? Let us know what you are doing with your kids to inspire adventure and a love of the world around them by adding your photos to the #AdventureStartsWithMe hashtag on Instagram. We’d love to see them!
Have you heard of Animal Jam?
If you have kids you have probably heard about Animal Jam and you know that they are an online game for kids. Their passion is STEM education and inspiring kids to learn within the game and offline too.
Since Iceland is full of adventure, beauty, and an unplugged other-wordly environment Animal Jam thought it would be a great place for us to explore. You can learn more about Iceland and the adventures you can experience HERE. I will be sharing more about this amazing place and my personal adventure soon.

Let me suggest an itinerary built to explore Icelandic culture, wildlife, and their environment. Here’s what we did:
- Arrive in Iceland via WOW Air!
- Stay at the Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Marina (and take a nap!)
- Tour Whales of Iceland
- Take a dip in the Blue Lagoon
- Have dinner at the Seafood Grill
- Check out all there is to do in Reykjavik!
- Visit the Icelandic Goat Center
- Explore the glacier
- Go Seal Spotting
- Drive from Heydalur to Suovik
- Visit the Arctic Fox Centre
- Stay at Hotel Isafjordur and have dinner in their restaurant
- Depart for the Gauksmyri Horse Farm in North Iceland
- Attend the horse show
- Have dinner and enjoy life on the farm!
- Head back to Reykjavik and begin your journey home
We did a lot of driving to get to all of these amazing (and remote) places. We traveled with Grayline and our tour guide Ingi and we cannot recommend them enough!
