Bake up your best Valentine’s treats (or buy something yummy) and place them in a paper sack. I put my treats first into a glassine bag and then slip inside a paper bag. The glassine bag makes sure that any oil from the cookies won’t stain the bag. Fold over the top of the bag. Add a doily to make it extra pretty if you like. Fold the Valentine’s day tag around the top of the sack. Use a hole punch to place two holes at the top to tie twine or ribbon through. The tags can also be stapled or glued to the paper sack.
Before folding the gift tag in half lightly score where it should fold with a dull knife to make an indent in the paper. This will help the tag fold nicely.
Cut the tag in half if you would like to tie the tag around a cello bag and don’t need it to foldover.
If you are making sugar cookies I promise you this is the BEST sugar cookie frosting ever! Valentine’s puppy chow would be another delicious gift. If you have a friend with allergies these peppermint patties are amazing.
