Looking for beautiful unique toys and activities to help build your child’s imagination? Sarah, of Imagine Childhood can help us out!

Sarah writes……
A year ago, my family and I started talking about how hard it was to find good quality gifts for kids, which quickly turned into a conversation about each of our favorite toys and memories from childhood. After a while we realized that our fondest memories, whether from growing up in the 60s or twenty years later in the 80s, were of time spent exploring and imagining. That’s why we started imaginechildhood.com, a website that offers high quality durable toys, tools, and activities that encourage outdoor exploration, creativity, and imagination.
Today we are giving away a $35 gift certificate to our store!ย All you have to do to enter is take a trip over to the shop and tell us what your favorite item is in the comments for this post.
We would also like to offer a 15% discount for all Skip to my Lou readers for the duration of the Giveaway.ย You have until this coming Sunday night at midnight to leave a comment.ย The winner will be chosen by random number and will be announced a couple of days later!

To redeem your discount Just enter the codeย SKIP at the time of checkout.ย Discount expires 03/23/09.

I love the Double Sided Deluxe Easel! I’ve been wanting to get and easel for my son, but most the ones I see look so cheap. This one looks so sturdy and durable!
i love the wood block sets but that stuffed chipmunk is just too, too cute!
My favorite is the paper-making kit. I’ve always wanted to learn and this would work, as well as teach my kids.
I like the Fuel Cell Kit: Hydrogen Powered Car – my husband and son would have SO much fun with that!
I like the World Music for Kids CDs. I’d probably get the World and French ones. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the kite paper and the jump rope. I have fond memories of trying to make kites out of bags and newspaper.
The Fairy Garden Kit is so neat!
It’s too difficult to pick just one item. I love to read and I like to think that I’m passing that onto my grandchildren. Not only do I buy them books for holidays but I also keep books at my house to read when they visit. The Story of the Root Children sounds like a lovely book to welcome in spring . Of course we would have to keep it at my house. I’ve already fallen in love with it.
My favorite toys that I saw were the wagons. I loved playing with wagons as a child, and then as a teenager I still used them with my friends. I would love to have a wagon to take my baby around in. I love the butterfly wagon.
I love this site! I would love to get something for my little guy!
My favorite is the Organic Garden Kits. My children love to play in the dirt and with this kid they are give the opportunity to learn where their food comes from. They get the responsibility of watering and caring for their garden.
My kids would looooovvvveeee the 30 piece hardwood maple block set and the crayon rocks look fun! …. thanks for the giveaway!
What a lovely website with many fine items. I am especially excited about the rock crayons, the guides to birds, stars and trees and the creative craft activities. Thanks for this introduction. I have bookmarked the site and will shop here again!
I love the Seashore Exploration Kit. we just moved to the shore area and my kids would love this.
I’d love to have the book Painting With Children.
