DIY Tic Tac Toe Supplies
- 1/2 yard Heat n Bond Lite
- 1/2 yard cotton muslin
- wooden letters (found at a local craft store) 5- “x” 5- “o”
- 1 yard of heavy twine or ribbon
- printer
- scissors
- sewing machine
- download
Tic Tac Toe Game
Cut two pieces of cotton muslin 8 1/2” X 11” and two pieces of Heat and Bond Lite 8 1/2” X 11” .
According to manufacturer directions iron the non paper side of the Heat n Bond Lite to one side of the cotton muslin. Repeat for other pieces. One side will be paper the other side will be the cotton muslin.
Download the tic tac toe printable to your computer.
Place one piece of the paper backed fabric into the paper tray holder on your printer. Place fabric side down. Locate the tic tac toe download on your computer and print.
Remove the paper from each piece of paper. Place the two pieces of fabric sides together (shiny side where paper was removed on the outside). Using a sewing machine with stitch length set to three, stitch down one side, across the bottom and up the other side. Leave top open.
Fold top down about and 1 1/2 inches.
Make sure seams are open and flat.
Stitch about an inch down from the top edge all the way around the top.
Clip bottom corners.
Turn bag right side out. With a seam ripper take out a few stitches of the top seam on one side.
This will leave an opening to send the tie through.
To keep the seam from coming undone. Stitch back and forth across the seam at the top and the bottom.
Feed the ribbon or twin through the casing. Attaching a safety pin to the ribbon or twine will help feed it through.
