If you have read my blog for very long you know that I love to boo friends and neighbors. Each year I try to come up with some new clever way to spread a little Halloween cheer. This year we have created the Magic Broom. It is super easy to make and I have made a special printable to share. Your whole family will have fun watching the magic broom secretly travel from house to house. It is a perfect kids Halloween activity! I hope you enjoy!

Download the magic broom printable. Print 2 copies in color on white card stock. I usually email the file to my local copy shop to get the most vibrant copies.

Cut out the witch and her apron. Lay the apron on top and punch holes on each side.
Tie the apron to the card with a piece of ribbon.
Take a brown paper lunch sack and make slits across the bottom and the top. Cut about 2 inches down from the top and about an inch above the bottom fold (see picture). I found extra large lunch sacks at Wal-mart. Once cut carefully open up the sack. Set aside.
Fill another lunch sack with treats your friends will love!
Carefully place the bag filled with treats inside the bag with the cuts. Take a tree branch and place inside the the lunch sacks. Gather the sacks around the branch and fasten securely with twine or ribbon. Trim bottom corners of slip bag if necessary.
For a more colorful magic broom handle take a large dowel and paint!
I’ve Been Bewitched
Attach the printable to the branch or dowel. In the dark of night secretly deliver the magic broom to your friend’s doorstep. Friends can remove the apron on the card and place the “I’ve Been Bewitched” in their window so everyone can see where the broom has been!
