We like to keep things simple during the holidays so our time is spent making memories with each other chatting and playing games and not cooking elaborate meals with endless clean-up. We are thrilled to have been introduced to the De’Longhi Livenza All-Day Grill. This amazing appliance is not only streamlining our gatherings it has become a fun activity turning our meals interactive! I now know why it earned a coveted place among the 2016 list of Oprah’s Favorite Things. This All-Day Grill will quickly become one of your favorite things too!
Our Christmas Eve tradition is to go to church and then come home and have and easy meal, play games and open one gift. The All-Day Grill makes such a fun meal that everyone can enjoy! Each person can make and cook their own sandwich just the way they like. Everyone is satisfied. The Livenza All-Day Grill includes embedded heating elements, which prevent hotspots for a more even cooking process and the cool touch handles allows everyone to use safely. The extra wide 9”x15” cooking surface allows for plenty of paninis for a large family or entertaining. There is even a dedicated app offers a variety of cooking tips and recipes to make everyone feel like a professional.
We also serve paninis for New Years Eve! Our guest love making their own sandwhiches whenever they want while waiting to greet the new year.
Tips for hosting a Panini Party
We have done it two ways… have sandwiches pre-made or have plates of meats and cheeses and guest can assemble their own.
For our family it is easier fto make a stack of sandwiches and let each family member choose their condiments. For our New Years Eve party, platters of breads, meats, and cheeses are the ways to go.
Be sure to offer plenty of condiments. We choose mayo, mustard and then throw in some unusual items to really kick the sandwich up a notch. You might like
- siracha mustard
- jalapeno jelly
- bacon jam
- chipoltle mayo
- Thousand Island dressing (if you are also offering sauerkraut and pastrami- must people love a Reuben)
Choose a variety of meats. We offer black forrest ham, turkey, pastrami and hard salami
Cheeses that melt well are a great choice. Try muenster, Swiss, cheddar, provolone and fresh mozzarella. We also love brie and herbed goat cheese.
Include a plate of extras like pickles, lettuce, tomato, peppers, jalepenos, banana peppers, cucumber, olives etc
The De’Longhi Livenza All-Day Grill is super easy to use and your guests will quickly get the hang of it. The digital control LED panel is super bright and easy-to-read and can be monitored from a distance. If you like though, a simple instruction card showing which button to push and a guideline for cooking time would be helpful.
Guests can be left to their own devices or print out some sandwich ideas.
- Pastrami, Thousand Island dressing, sauerkraut and Swiss for a delicious Reuben
- Turkey , Provolone , Tomato and Pesto
- Pesto, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella is delish! A Caprese Sandwich is one of my favorites and toasting it takes it to a new level
- Ham, swiss and jalapeno jam
- Turkey, brie and bacon jam
…. the sky is the limit!
Set out some chips and veggies and you have the perfect panini party. After all the panins have been made change to the waffle plates and have a waffle dessert bar. Why wait for breakfast.
It doesn’t stop with lunch and dinners….. we can’t wait for breakfast to make fluffy pancakes and waffles. We are so excited to make a waffle bar for Christmas morning….. and I am sure the kids will want it again on New Years Day! How fun! The removable grill plates can tackle it all, even juicy steaks! ·The best part, the non-stick removable grill, griddle and waffle plates are dishwasher safe for easy clean up!
Cookies for Kids’ Cancer
I wanted to share about a wonderful program De’Longhi supports. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer is a national nonprofit that has granted nearly $15 million to research for new, less toxic therapies for kids battling cancer. This year during the 2nd annual De’Longhi Days of Giving they donated 10% of all proceeds on delonghi.us to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
Cancer kills more kids in the US than any other disease. Over 40,000 kids are battling cancer every single day. You can help and Be a Good Cookie too by sending cookies this holiday season, hosting an event, or simply donating. To learn more visit cookiesforkidscancer.org .
