These Scarecrow cookies are what I took for my daughter’s bake sale. Someone had made some similar ones at my son’s bake sale. I am thinking the original idea came from Family Fun Magazine. I made sugar cookies on long sticks so I could stick them into a small hay bale I found at Hobby Lobby.
I thought it was a fun way to display the cookies so they could be sold individually.
Here is the sugar cookie recipe I used.
I found the recipe! The eyes are upside down chocolate chips, mouth is pull apart licorice, and the hair is Kashi GoLean cereal.
What did you use for the eyes, mouth and hair??
LOVE THIS!!! What did you use for the hair, eyes and mouth?? I’m making these in a few weeks!
Having read this I believed it was really enlightening.
I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put this article together.
I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and leaving
comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
Just found this post via Pinterest.com.
You could easily use Oreo cookies as the base cookie, dipped into melted white candy melts/ chocolate! Mini M&M’s for the eyes, and broken pretzels for the hair,
I found the Family Fun Magazine recipe to help everyone know what they used for hair and icing etc. You can find the link below:
I love the presentation shown on here so I will use the products shown on the Family Fun Magazine link but I will definitely use SkipToMyLou’s design and pesentation of them! Adorable! Thanks!
Adorable! I hope you don’t mind. I shared them with my readers this morning! 😉
