There’s no need to spend a lot of money on a Valentine’s Day gift. In fact, sometimes the best gifts are the simplest ones. This inexpensive gift idea is made easy with a printable pillow box.
I will be using these little DIY pillow boxes filled with a lottery ticket and chocolate hearts at our family Valentine’s Day dinner. Everyone scratching their tickets adds some fun and excitement!
Lotto Love DIY Pillow Box Supplies
Just a few simple items and you can whip these up in no time at all. Here is what you will need:
- lottery ticket
- glue stick or hot glue
- scissors
- dull knife, closed ball point pen or bone folder
- white cardstock
- color printer
- printable lottery ticket valentine pillow box PDF
How to Make Lottery Ticket Valentine Gift
Download and print the PDF file in color on white cardstock. Cut it out.
Lightly score all the folds. I don’t like to cut the cardstock only make an indention. I typically use a closed ballpoint pen because it is easy to hold and handy. A very dull knife also works. A bone folder is the best tool for this.
Generously apply glue to the flap. Be sure to get all the edges and corners but only the flap. TIP: slip a piece of paper under the flap so you can get to all the edges without getting glue on the inside of the box. Close the pillow box. I think it helps to wait a few minutes to let the glue dry before folding in the ends.
Fold in one side. Add the lottery ticker and then fold in the other side!
