Contestย closed! Winner was Kim C! Congrats Kim!
We recently moved our laundry room into what used to be a very tiny bathroom. My husband installed a large pocket door to maximize the small space. The room needed a quick re-do to make the space work. A trip to Lowe’s quickly turned this small space laundry room into a useful and organized work space!
Small Space Laundry Room Ideas
To give our laundry room a fresh look we first installed a laminate counter on top of the washer and dryer to make a nice work surface. We used a counter top with a back splash to keep socks and small clothing items from falling behind the washer.
Lowe’s had plenty of closet storage ideas that we could borrow for our laundry room. We installed Rubbermaid Shelving to make the best use of the space . For years we have sorted our clothes into dish tubs. Now the tubs have the perfect home. Our clothes from the laundry shoot fall right into a large laundry basket sitting on the counter. Wet clothes can be hung over the large wash sink.
Everything now has a home and our laundry room looks organized, clean and fresh!

For me, it’s the guest bedroom that needs a re-do. It’s very bland and needs some color and substance. Have a blessed day, Kathy
Great re-do. My kitchen could use a little facelift!
My powder room is the first one one the list to get a makeover soon. It is very small just big enough for a pedestal sink and toilet but after 11 years definitely needs an update with new sink and toilet. This would greatly help me get that project started. ๐
My Daughter’s play room is in need of a makeover!
My craft room really needs a light makeover. It doesn’t have a ceiling light. I have to depend on floor lamps.
Love your laundry room!
Oh, I didn’t realize I needed my laundry room redone until I saw your new one! WOW! A laundry room makeover would be WONDERFUL!
My kitchen is getting a makeover this year. I have all the plans, now looking for the time to get started. This would give me a great reason to start. Thanks
I have several places that need organized the two that I would like to do would be the laundry space which is in our main bathroom and our hall closet. That is just where I want to start, there is so much more. sigh
Our laundry room could use a simple facelift. I love the idea of the countertop across the top of the 2 machines. That would be an easy fix. Our biggest challenge is a home for the litter box for our furry family members…
I know this sounds weird but I would love to do something like that for my in-home gym. With the towels, hand weights, jump ropes, sanitizer etc. my husband could use some organization in that space and it would make my heart smile :)).
My kitchen needs some help, it’s been the same since we’ve moved in 1989!
ALL our rooms need a makeover/updo, but with my hopes pinned to winning the gift certificate, I’m listing our basement. There’s a leaking water pipe down there that refuses to cooperate with our efforts to repair it!
Regardless of the outcome, thank you for this chance to win! โงโฏโกโฏโฆ
My garage needs a serious makeover. BTW, jealous of your new laundry room!
yes in fact my laundry room could use a make over. I had been thinking of shelvs in there, and set up area for each of the family members as well. Then I saw your post and wah laaa its exactly what I was wanting to do in mine but was not sure if would look good or not. I am going to have to show it to hubby so now he can understand more of what I was talking about. Will have to find another place for the chest freezer to go but that is no problem.

My whole house, lol ! But seriously, our home was originally built over 100 years ago as a home for the railroad switchman. I t was originally 2 rooms with 2 small bedrooms. The kitchen was added on about 70 years ago, and doesn’t even have a foundation, it sits on cinderblocks! In this long narrow kitchen is also the bathroom , and the entry to the house is a microscopic area where the washer and dryer are. It has a substandard door , only 28 inches wide and only a little over 5 feet high. So I guess I would say my kitchen needs the makeover the most!
Thanks for a chance to win………
