We recently moved our laundry room into what used to be a very tiny bathroom. My husband installed a large pocket door to maximize the small space. The room needed a quick re-do to make the space work. A trip to Lowe’s quickly turned this small space laundry room into a useful and organized work space!
Small Space Laundry Room Ideas
To give our laundry room a fresh look we first installed a laminate counter on top of the washer and dryer to make a nice work surface. We used a counter top with a back splash to keep socks and small clothing items from falling behind the washer.
Lowe’s had plenty of closet storage ideas that we could borrow for our laundry room. We installed Rubbermaid Shelving to make the best use of the space . For years we have sorted our clothes into dish tubs. Now the tubs have the perfect home. Our clothes from the laundry shoot fall right into a large laundry basket sitting on the counter. Wet clothes can be hung over the large wash sink.
Everything now has a home and our laundry room looks organized, clean and fresh!

My daughter’s room and bathroom could both use some work.
My son’s room needs a makeover! He had painted his room orange. Through all his years, drumming, instruments, …well, it is a bit beat up. No, it is a lot beat up! He has now moved out and the room desperately needs a new paint job. I had to go buy a bedspread and his light blue bedspread clashes horribly with the orange paint. help!
Would love to win! I M in the middle of redoing my laundry too… also will be turning a bonus room into a bedroom so my oldest will finally get his own room!
We just moved from a 3 bedroom house with a garage to a 2 bedroom aprtment with a small basement. I really need some storage in my kitchen. I’d love to get some hanging racks for all my odds and ends.

My bedroom and master bath need a new look- we ripped out some built in cabinets and repainted the room recently which was a HUGE help, however, the cheap laminate flooring was installed AFTER the built ins were put in apparently ….soooooo we have some areas with NO flooring LOL — oops! and our bathroom desperately needs a new vanity, paint, medicine cabinet and flooring, but alas, after what we had to purchase for the bedroom we were already over budget 🙁 A Lowes GC would go a long way in helping complete this long overdue makeover 🙂 We LOVE shopping at Lowes and LOVE their new “My Lowes” card which tracks your paint color purchases etc. Made it SUPER easy when we needed a little bit more paint during this last makeover and now I don’t have to keep up with all those paint chips 🙂

My house is approaching 100 years old so all my rooms need makeovers 🙂 I would really love to do my laundry area though. It’s in the basement and extraordinarily dreary.
