One piece of advice you all have given me in my organization quest is to label everything. So I have started labeling. I have had these containers from IKEA forever but they were never labeled.  I had to open the lids each time I wanted to find something.

Silly I didn’t I label them before when they had a spot and even the card to do so.

Labeling is much more fun because I have one of these.

This Brother PTouch1280 is slick! The best thing is that there are so many tape options (iron on fabric tape, archival tape for scrapbooking, packing tape, etc.) that it really has more uses than just organization.

Brother is giving one lucky reader a PTouch Labeler. Leave a comment (I should make you post a photo of your craft area—wink wink!–it’s okay a comment will do) on this post before Sunday night at midnight and one of you will be the proud owner of this handy gadget!

  1. Ooh, I was JUST showing this to my husband and telling him I need it!! (I didn’t get it for Christmas! 🙁 ) I would adore one!!!

  2. These are sooo cool. We have one at work and makes the dreaded filing a little more bearable and neat! I’ve been wanting to get one for home but haven’t been able to afford anything not an absolute necessity. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

  3. I have the smaller version and love it. We label everything from jars, to fridge/freezer food containers, to boxes, to toy containers.
I’ve given one as present, and could share this older one too, if I win that baby!

  4. I would love to win this label maker!!! My office looks like yours and it needs some organization too. I keep saying I’m going to get organized, but it’s so overwhelming – labeling seems like a great place to begin. Love your website!!!

  5. I am obsessed with organization and labeling and would LOVE this! I usually make a list of all the labels I need, type the words in to a Word document, print it out, cut each word out and then tape it to the cardboard label . . . what a pain! This would be so freakin’ easy!!!

  6. What????? A label maker instead of using masking tape and duct tape to label my storage containers????? I could think of other uses too….the kids school supplies, photos in the photo album, scrapbook pages, files in the file cabinet, the tupperware containers in the pantry with the baking supplies in them, my daughters bottles that I take to day care, the Christmas storage containers, the toy bins, my husbands tools and hardware, spines on the photo albums, and the list goes on….I think I need this!!!!

  7. Oh, Cindy, you don’t want to see my craft areas… trust me. And if I had this P Touch, I think my daughter will end up labeling the cat! Fun stuff!

  8. Oh this would be wonderful. I love the idea of being organized and this just may help get me there.
