When we have dinner guest I love to have little party favors on each plate. I found the most clever tool for making these favor boxes. You can make them in any length using any pretty cardstock.
I am excited I can match the paper to any theme or occasion. These will be perfect for the Fourth of July!
Favor Boxes Supplies
- Candy Box Punch Board I found the candy box punch board at Michaels where you find punches and scissors.
- cardstock
- tape runner
- ribbon
How to make favor boxes
Cut paper 7 inches wide by the length you want the box to be. My paper was 7″ X 5″. For reference each end uses about an inch so add desired size to hold candy and add 2 inches. I wanted the part to hold candy to be three inches.
This handy punch does all the work for you. Please the paper on the start line and make the first punch. It will only punch half a diamond.
Slide the paper over so it fits along the raised diamond and make the second punch.
After each punch use the scoring tool to run alone the scoring line.
Flip the paper over and repeat for opposite edge of paper.
Continue punching and scoring all the way across the paper. You will have four full diamonds and one half diamond.
Use the other side of the punch to punch the outside edge of the paper.
Run tape along the edge of the paper on the right side.
Fold edge to other side. Folding it on top of itself can help with alignment.
Tie a ribbon around one end and fill box with candy.
Add a ribbon and you have the perfect party favor boxes.
A nice way to make your guests know you think they are super sweet!
