Do you have a large scrap fabric pile? Do you see fabric and can’t stop buying the cute prints but feel guilty with all the piles at home? Here are some easy scrap fabric projects!  Summertime is a great time to learn to sew or teach kids to sew.  Check out these sewing practice sheets, you can practice your stitching on these printable sheets.

Projects to Make with Scrap Fabric

This Embellished Dish Towel is a quick ten minute project that makes a perfect gift.  It doesn’t take much fabric to make these personalized towels.

Have you ever made a fabric bunting? These are perfect for holidays, birthdays and even to decorate a bedroom.  Because you can use a lot of different patterns, using your scrap pile is the perfect plan.

Make a scrap fabric wreath. This projects takes small strips so the more variety you have in fabric the better.  Doesn’t it turn out cute?

A pleated pouch is one of my favorite things to make for people. Everyone needs one of these and they are easy to make.  Don’t let that zipper scare you!

Make a fabric bookmark!  You can make a lot of these in just a few minutes.  Everyone could use a new book mark.  This project is so easy, even kids can make it.

A headband is another simple project you can make with your fabric scraps. It is pretty fun to match coordinating fabrics to  your headband!

This drawstring backpack goes together quickly and is an easy sewing project.

Making a pillow is simple to do and also a great sewing project for a child or adult. It is the perfect way to use up the left over fabric but still have it match the bedroom!

This is a super simple doll dress that can be made in less than an hour, really even less than that. It would make a great beginner sewing project! This dress is perfect for an 18″ American Girl style doll. Can you imagine all the cute doll dresses that you could make with fabric scraps?

Love your website. Saw your wreath and fell in love. You could do this with leftover Christmas fabric too. Merry Christmas!!!

I love these projects. I'll have to show that fabric wreath to my daughters. They would love it. I would love for you to stop by diyhshp.blogspot.com and link this up to my More the Merrier link party.
