Need a quick way to dress up a little gift? This triangle pyramid favor box tutorial is so easy—just a few folds, a piece of ribbon, and you’ve got the cutest little package. It’s perfect for holding candy, jewelry, or any small treat. I love how these make sweet party favors, holiday gifts, or even a “just because” surprise for a friend.
How to Make a Triangle Box
Step 1: Start with a large square piece of decorative paper and flip it over. Now, fold it into a triangle from the bottom right to the top left, passing through the middle.

Step 2: Now fold into a smaller triangle from the bottom towards the top. Fold into an even smaller triangle by folding the paper from left to right.

Step 3: Unfold the paper. Now using the folds already made, shape it like a kite shape. If you aren’t sure, the video shows clearly how to do this.

Step 4: Turn the paper 180 degrees and, from the right, fold the top right flap towards the center. Do the same with the top left flap. Now fold the bottom triangle upwards to the point as shown in the second image below.

Step 5: Unfold all the folds made in Step 4 and flip the paper over to the other side. Make exactly the same folds you made in Step 4.

Step 6: Unfold the paper fully, once again. Using a punch, make a hole in each of the four points.

Step 7: Take a piece of green ribbon and thread it through all the holes you’ve just punched.

Step 8: Fill the box with treats and secure the ribbon to close it up.

Your triangle box is complete!

That’s all there is to it! In just a few minutes, you can turn a simple piece of paper into the sweetest little gift box. Fill it with something fun, tie it up with a bow, and you’ve got a thoughtful favor ready to share. I can’t wait to see how you use these triangle boxes—whether it’s for birthdays, holidays, or just a little pick-me-up for a friend!
