This Kansas girl can’t help but celebrate! The Kansas City Chiefs have given us some exciting football games and even made it to the Super Bowl. Make these Mahomes football cupcakes to show your spirit! A free printable cupcake wrapper makes them easier than ever!
You might also serve up one of these Super Bowl snacks. The buffalo chicken dip is a crowd favorite and this Chex Mix recipe is a must have for any party!
How to Make Kansas City Chief Cupcakes
In no time at all, you can whip up these cupcakes. Did you know you can even ask for undecorated cupcakes at your local grocery store? You will for sure want to frost your own cupcakes because these cupcakes are all about the hair!
Chief Cupcakes Supplies
- cupcakes
- pastry bag
- tip 1M
- chocolate frosting (I used the stuff right from the plastic tub from the grocery store)
- printable Kansas City Chiefs cupcake wrappers (there are four on a page)
- printable #15 Mahomes cupcake wrappers
- scissors
- glue
Print the cupcake wrappers in color on white cardstock. If your home printer doesn’t make vibrant copies you can upload the file to your local copy store and they can print them for you. Be sure to print actual size, do NOT print fit to page or scale.
Cut out the wrappers. Wrap the cupcake wrapper around the cupcake and secure with glue. I used a glue pin but a generous amount of glue stick would work. Hot glue would also be a really secure option.
Fit a pastry bag with a 1M pastry tip. Fill the bag with chocolate frosting. While I used store-bought chocolate frosting a homemade chocolate buttercream frosting would be stiffer and allow the “hair” to stand up more. Pipe a good amount of hair onto the cupcake.
Mahomes Cupcakes!
TaDa! There you have it a cupcake wrapper like the headband Mahomes wears and his hair sticking out of the top! Perfect for Super Bowl cupcakes, or any football game day! If you have a young Mahomes fan in your life, these would make a perfect birthday treat too.
You can even do some with Patrick Mahomes jersey number 15.
How fun are these?. Go Chiefs!
