Today I am making  Easter Basket Cupcakes.  These little baskets would be perfect for Easter or May Day!

Simply melt a little chocolate candy coating or chocolate chips. Place the melted chocolate in a zip loc bag. Snip off a tiny bit of one corner of the bag. Pipe the chocolate onto wax paper. I drew a handle shape on a piece of copy paper and place wax paper on top.  It gave me a guide and I could slide the wax paper around using the guide over and over.

Allow basket handles to harden completely and then stick them into the frosting on your favorite cupcake.  I used sugar flowers for my basket, but you could easily pipe flowers or fill the basket with jelly beans or colorful chocolate eggs.

  1. Love those cupcakes…..looks delish! I’l love to win that Bunny house…would be fun to do with my 2 little ones!!

  2. My sister-in-law sent me the link to this post. I love cakes and all things cake related, so I think your cupcake flower baskets are just so fun! I’m having a bunch of children over this year to decorate miniature cakes that look like Easter eggs. Next year we might have to make these instead!

  3. How cute. The handle makes the cupcake look like it was made in a professional bakery! And it is so easy! I like these because they will be cute for children or adults.

  4. This is a slippery slope. My daughter asks me for a kit like this every holiday! Gingerbread house, haunted house, bunny hutch–next a passover goblet by Wilton?

Oh well, I wasn’t going to fit into my bathing suit this summer anyway, bring on the frosting.

  5. What a great idea! I want to make some of those cupcakes this week. Thanks for a chance to win!

  6. Would love to make the Bunny Hutch with my boys! Thank you so much for all your fun and crafty ideas!!

  7. How adorable is that! What fun the Bunny Hutch would be 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway.
