These monkey cupcakes would be the star of any party! The best part is they are super simple to make! I made them for Bella’s school for a little party for her teacher who loves monkeys and they would be great for zoo parties and birthday parties too.

how to make monkey cupcakes
Begin by gathering up your supplies. You will need your favorite cupcakes, regular size, and miniature size vanilla wafers, black candy writer or black gel, and 3/8 inch candy eyes.
Place a regular-size vanilla wafer on the bottom half of the frosted cupcake. Place a miniature vanilla wafter on each side of the cupcake at the edge. Next, add the eyes, and finally, use the candy writer to add the facial details.
It really is that simple!
In no time at all, you will have a troop of monkeys and a bunch of delighted children!

I do think the cookies might get soft. Could you make and frost the cupcakes ahead and then add the cookies the day of your event?
Chrissy says
How many days ahead of time can I make these without the cookies getting stale before the event??? Anyone know?
