Back in the day before I was a momma, I was an elementary school teacher. I absolutely adored being in the classroom with eight year olds each day; they were still at an age where they loved being at school and would give me big squeezy hugs each morning. The one thing I didn’t enjoy so much was the amount of my own personal funds that I had to use to make sure we had adequate supplies.
Now that I’m on the other side of the education fence, I really try to supply my kids’ teachers with as many of the things they need to make their class run. Things like books, rewards, pencils, and glue sticks are always needed in a young classroom and Teacher Appreciation Week is a perfect time to replenish their diminishing stock. I put together this sweet gift for my son’s Kindergarten teacher and created a set of free printable tags to share with you!
The gift that I put together has a book for the teacher’s class library, plus a few reading supplies that I know that she uses on a daily basis in her class. Why not give the teacher some things that you know he or she has been spending their own money on?

I am so blessed to be a wife to my high school sweetheart and mother to our two sweet, crazy kids. In my past life I was an elementary school teacher, but now I am a stay-at-home-momma by trade and absolutely adore what I do. I do have to say that I’m not great at limiting myself to doing one single thing though. I really do love anything remotely crafty and creative and I have a passion for party planning and styling. I’m trying to teach myself to sew one stitch at a time and you can regularly find me with a sippy cup in one hand and a glue gun in the other with my camera hanging around my neck.
