How to print on ribbon

Posted by  ·  January 26, 2017  ·  Last Updated: March 29, 2017

Have you ever wanted to know how to print on ribbon?  I did! I was super excited when eDist Business asked me to try out their Ribbon and Tape Creator. I immediately started thinking about all the things personalized tape and ribbon could be used for. When it arrived I got busy creating! It couldn’t be any easier to print on ribbon and packing tape.

As a small business owner I am thrilled to be able to print branded ribbon.  We package our gift cards in a pillow box and the printed ribbon makes an extra special presentation. For wrapping up gift baskets and tying around product the possibilities are endless.

I simply uploaded my logo, checked my settings for the correct size ribbon and ink and hit print! In minutes I had yards of perfectly printed ribbon. I love that I can even extend my business by selling custom ribbon by the yard to my customers. What a great way to add extra value!  The Ribbon and Tape Creator also prints tape so our packages we ship will now be perfectly branded with our logo. These extra details will make my small shop stand out!

The best part is it is economical! Custom ribbon can be printed for less than a dollar a yard and sold to customers for several dollars per yard. The machine won’t take long to pay for when you factor in the advertising value and the ability make money with custom ribbon printing.

Work from home

Have you ever wanted your own business? I think a custom printed ribbon business could be a great idea! Stay at home and print on demand. Imagine the opportunities for printing personalized ribbon for schools.  Who wouldn’t want ribbon with personalized names and school mascots. My little volleyball player was thrilled to have a ribbon for her hair.

Really interested in this product..one question though..I have the new P Touch Ruben embellish printer but I am limited to width of ribbon and have to use their refill cartridges which limits colorof ribbon choice as well. Can you print on satin ribbon you would buy at a craft store with this machine or are you limited to buying what they have available on their rolls?

Teresa, I think you would have to buy what they have available so it fits in the machine. The ribbon comes on a cartridge that fits in the machine. It is a great machine and if you do anything that you could seel the ribbon it would make a great business.
