It is no secret I love Fabric Flowers around here…

Making felt flowers can be really simple especially with this new book from my friend Amy Barickman. The  book include 25 patterns for making beautiful fabric flowers.

I made the hexagon flower and thought it would make the perfect hair clip. I only needed a few scraps of felt, hair clip, button, needle and thread. First I made a photo copy of the template from the book.

Cut out the pieces.

Bring a needle and thread up through the center of the flower . Fold over a petal and bring the needle through the tip of the petal.

Repeat sewing all the tips of the petals to the center.

Place the center circle on top and then a button. Sew together.

Hot glue the leaf and the flower to a hair clip.

Beautiful!
