Instructions: How To Make Herb Rolls

Making these herb rolls won’t take up too much time, but you can always prepare them beforehand and store them appropriately.

Step 1: In a large bowl, place the dry yeast and sugar. Now add some lukewarm water and stir through until the sugar and yeast are thoroughly mixed. Set it aside and let it stand, allowing the yeast to activate fully.

Step 2: Once it has stood for a while, add butter, an egg, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture and blend thoroughly in the bowl of a stand mixer. Add more flour and, using a dough hook attachment, blend again till a dough forms.

Other Herbs Flavors To Try

You don’t only have to use oregano, you can try other herbs too including:

  • Parsley
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Basil

Remember, dry herbs are far stronger than fresh herbs so don’t use too much or it might be too overpowering.

You could even sprinkle a little garlic powder, or better, still, brush the dough with melted garlic butter to really add a nice garlic kick.
