Healthy Broccoli Salad INGREDIENTS
This great recipe uses fresh broccoli florets, avocado, bacon, onion, seeds, and raisins. These ingredients are easy to find and if you are lucky, you may have them all on hand now!
You will need to make this recipe
- broccoli crowns
- raisins (2 – 3 tiny boxes) or Craisins
- red onion
- sunflower seeds (optional)
- bacon (pre-cooked works great)
- avocado (make sure it is soft)
- honey
- apple cider vinegar
SUBSTITUTIONS and ADDITIONS
Honey or Maple syrup work in this recipe. I have also used Agave syrup.
If you prefer more sauce or your broccoli heads were extra large just double the avocado, vinegar, and honey or maple syrup.
Serving and Storage
This salad takes great the next day. I feel like about 3 days in the refrigerator is it’s limit.
Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
Since this healthy broccoli salad has bacon and avocado, this could be served as a main course or it certainly makes a beautiful, natural side dish.
