I am seeing these treats in so many stores and all over the web that I had to give them a try myself.
First I sprayed my heart pan with cooking spray. Really, no need for a special pan — a heart cookie cutter would work great!
Make the traditional rice krispies treat mixture. You know this one:
Rice Krispies Treats
3 tablespoons butter
40 large marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies (puffed rice cereal)
Melt butter in a large saucepan. Stir in marshmallows and heat until melted, add in rice krispies.
Instructions:
Wet or oil hands and press mixture into heart shaped pan. If using a cookie cutter, spread mixture in a 9X13 pan and then cut out shapes.
Turn pan over and tap hearts out of pan.
Insert a cookie stick into the heart. Slightly re-shape heart if needed.
Melt white chocolate or almond bark in a shallow dish. Dip top of heart in the melted chocolate.
It can also be spooned on the heart and smoothed with the back of the spoon.
Before chocolate hardens, sprinkle with decorations.
Once coating is completely hard, cover with a clear plastic bag (I trimmed the length) and tie with a ribbon.
And you have a sweet treat!
Notes:
Color the rice krispie mixture by adding food coloring when melting the butter and marshmallows.
If you don’t want to add chocolate or candy coating to the tops, try mixing heart shaped sprinkles into the rice krispie mixture.

Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

I have seen these for years. I would not say someone stole the idea.

are you aware an Etsy seller has stolen your idea and your images for her shop?

This is a very good idea. But it’s a bit hard finding Rice Krispie in my hometown, can I use cornflake instead?
