Hello my name is Angelina and I can be found blogging over at JoJo and Eloise and I find myself wondering Where in the WORLD this year gone? We are entering the Holiday Season and I still can’t believe it. These last few weeks I’ve found myself hanging out with our Dentist and his staff more then I have been sitting around the house in my Pajamas (which I much rather prefer) I am so glad that I found a moment between Kids getting their teeth cleaned and some even FILLED… Which by the way, if you don’t already know this, Cavities STINK!!! But enough about my boring last few weeks, how about we move onto something much more Fun and Exciting, like this years Bake Craft Sew Party!!! I am beyond thrilled to be sharing with you here on Skip To My Lou. Now, I don’t know about you but the whole Holiday Season always gets me thinking of colorful chubby little turkey’s sprinkled all over the place, whether they be Real, Crafted, Baked or Sewn those cute little guys just Speak HOLIDAYS to me. Today I will be sharing how to put this Adorably fun and creative, Felt Turkey Pin/Clip together.
He Really is just the Cutest thing you ever did see and so very easy to make. You will need multiple color of Felt pieces, Glue Gun, Googly Eyes and Pin/Clip. I purchased all my supplies at Jo-Ann Fabrics.
Cut out a basic feather shape in different Felt colors. ( I drew a basic shape feather and then using small scissors cut out slits randomly throughout each feather) Stitch lines down the center of your feathers. This is not necessary but does add a bit of dimension to your feathers. Cut 2 Circles for the turkey’s body. These circles fit in the palm of my hand. You can easily make your Turkey Felt Clip as small or big as your hearts desire, just have fun and be creative.
Play around with the placement of your Feathers until your happy with how your Felt Turkey Pin looks.
You can also cut out 2 little Turkey legs and beak. Layer them inside, pin and sew. If you do not have a sewing machine, No Problem!! Just Hot Glue the body together around the edges of your circles.
Attach your Beak, Google eyes with a glue gun and hot glue your Pin or Clip to the back of your Felt Turkey Pin.
And, your done!!
Simple, Easy and Quick. Your Felt Turkey Pin will make a cute addition to your Holiday attire, Decorating or using him as a Holiday Craft for the kids.
No matter what way you choose to use your Felt Turkey Pin, it is certain to be a Hit this Holiday Season.
