We are making our own inspirational coloring bookmarks and getting lost in a book! I partnered with @disneybooks to celebrate the release of Beauty and the Beast: Lost In A Book By Jennifer Donnelly. We gathered our colored pencils and made some handmade bookmarks and then sat down for a good read!
Lost in a Book is about smart, bookish Belle, a captive in the Beast‘s castle. She has become accustomed to her new home and has befriended its inhabitants. When Belle comes upon Nevermore, an enchanted book unlike anything else she has seen in the castle, Belle finds herself pulled into its pages and transported to a world of glamour and intrigue. The adventures Belle has always imagined, the dreams she was forced to give up when she became a prisoner, seem within reach again. Belle can have everything she ever wished for. But what about her friends in the Beast‘s castle? Can Belle trust her new companions inside the pages of Nevermore? Is Nevermore‘s world even real? Belle must uncover the truth about the book, before she loses herself in it forever.
Jennifer Donnelly is an award-winning, best-selling author of books for young adults and adults, including the Waterfire Saga: Deep Blue,Rogue Wave, Dark Tide, and Sea Spell.

How to make a tassel for a bookmark
Make the bookmark extra special with a DIY tassel. They really are easy. Grab some embroidery floss and scissors. That is all you need. Using the end of the bookmark as a guide wrap embroidery floss about fifteen times. Cut two pieces of floss for making the tassel.
Slip one piece of floss through the loop and tie at the top. Take the second piece of floss and tie around the floss about 1/4 inch – 1/2 inch from the top.
Tie the ends of the floss together. Punch a small hole at the top and using a slip knot fasten the tassel to the top of the book mark. Trim the ends of the tassel.
We found our quotes in Belle’s Library. Disney’s Belle is one of the best fictional bookworms around. But what exactly is on her reading list? In this unique literary journal, enjoy inspiring quotes from some of Belle’s favorite books, as well as her insightful notes and colorful drawings. Includes a forward by noted Disney screenwriter Linda Woolverton.
Find both books in stores. Thanks Disney for sending me these complimentary books! We loved making handmade bookmarks and reading!
