Jack-O-Lantern Votives

Here is a Friday Flashback for some last minute Halloween decorations! Light up the house with these cuties!

Here is another simple (but messy) Halloween Craft! You need just a few supplies. My Mod Podge has gone bad I think, so we used it along with Elmer's Glue (My daughter sorta mixed it together---she is 3 so this wasn't exact science). I think Mod Podge alone would have been fine. We were using items we had so we used orange crepe paper on a roll for the pumpkins and white tissue paper like you use to wrap a gift for the ghosts.

My daughter coated the outside of the baby food jar with glue/Mod Podge.

She then took pieces of crepe paper and put it on the jar. We gave the whole thing another coat of mod podge. It is important to dab gently so you don't tear and wipe the crepe paper away.

We made faces with scraps of black construction paper and then waited for them to dry.

Once they were dry I thought they probably could have used another coat of Mod Podge, however that could be because mine was old. I didn't want to get it back out so I just gave them a shot of clear spray paint.

It is starting to look a lot like Halloween around here!

Mini Bat Candy Bar Covers

Last year I had a download for a large bat candy bar cover. This year I  thought it would be great to have some mini bats.

It might seem overwhelming to cut them all out, but if you have a Silhouette it makes quick work of this little project. I use a Mac so I cut them from a PDF. I think if you have a PC you cut from a JPG, so I have included both versions.

The Silhouette cut out the bats for me. I taped the ends of the candy bar so they don't hang out. Print the greetings on orange card stock and cut out. Next add two googly eyes, fold the wings to the center and secure with double sided tape.

Halloween Party Decorations

This weekend is the big day! Every year I look forward to going to the most spectacular party! My friend Missy knows how to throw the most amazing event! Five families are treated to a wonderful evening. The gathering is small which ads to how special we all feel.

The table is always a feast for the eyes. Even the chandelier and ceiling are decorated.

A real pumpkin was the perfect centerpiece and glittered leaves covered the table at our last party.

Always beautiful dishes at each place.

She sculpted us each own own woodland creature!

The children are treated equally well with this cool table.

Yes, real cornstalks were the centerpiece and crows hung from the ceiling.

The show stopper was these paper mache pumpkins made for each child.

Unbelievable! I can't wait to see this year's theme.

This Friday Flashback can help whip up some quick Halloween treats!

Homemade Cupcake Wrappers

This is so easy to do, but if you don't want to spend the time making a template I have one for you.

All you need is some scrapbooking paper! I did use scalloped scissors to cut across the top to give them a fancy edge. You might need to make slight adjustments for height and length depending on the size of your cupcakes. Fasten the wrappers together with glue stick or hot glue.

cupcakewrapper2If you want to print your own paper, here is a  free digital cupcake wrapper template with some different paper options to drop into the template and print! There is also a tutorial on how to use the digital template.
